In a significant revealing, the US Embassy announced that the state has processed more visa applications for Indian Nationals in 2023 than in any previous year. This increase reflects the increasing interest of Indian travellers towards the United States.
The US Embassy in India took to social media platform X and conveyed that more visa applications were completed by their Indian team this month than in any other month of 2023.
They added that they’ll be serving thousands of students, workers, tourists, and more in the coming weeks just in time for the busy holiday travel season, wishing safe travels to all of their applicants and congratulating the Consular Team.
According to the US Ambassador to India, Mr. Eric Garcetti, the embassy was probably going to issue 10-15% more US visas this year than usual, with the number of visas being issued in India having climbed.
Another notable feat achieved was that the number of Indian students being enrolled in the nation’s universities amounted 2.8 lakh, a record high that exceeded pre-pandemic levels and being seconded only by China.
