Whenever there’s a big election anywhere across the world, there are always some speculations around any foreign influence on the polls. Usually it’s the USA and Russia who are believed to be capable of pushing an influence on foreign elections. But this X user suggests that the country which has a huge impact on the upcoming Presidential elections in the United States is not Russia but India.
The influence pointed out is not as direct as it sounds but through the Indian Americans who are actively engaged in the elections. The user alleged that the US elections have been ‘outsourced’ to India. America is already famous for outsourcing most of its support work to countries like India and the reference is believed to be pun intended.
The post on X suggested that there’s an Indian alternative for everything in this election. Kamala Harris has been projected as the woke personality while Vivek Ramaswamy is alleged to be the far right face. For an establishment candidate, the user pointed out Nikki Haley.
It is true that the influence of Indian Americans in this year’s election is way more than ever but a direct relationship between Indians controlling the election cannot be established.
Earlier in 2020, Russia was accused of hijacking the elections after Donald Trump lost the ballot. It is not new for people to try to use this narrative of a foreign entity controlling elections when the results are not exactly desirable for them.
