Instead Of Career, Indians Get Criminal Cases

Illegal-Immigrants

How often it happens that a movie is released and at the same time, the central plot of the film plays out in real life. The timing of the movie Dunki with the ‘donkey flight’ taking Indians to the USA might be a total coincidence but it has raised concerns around the trend of illegal immigration among Indians who are willing to do anything to travel to other countries.

Millions of Indians aspire for a career outside India and a large number of them come from places with less resources and information about the legal process. This is when the illegal agencies running scams come into play duping innocents and turning their dream into crime.

The lucrative offer of working in a foreign country often lets people ignore the dangers associated with it or sometimes are not even aware. The number of illegals entering the US has increased more than 5 times in a couple of years. Most of these people take the Mexico route, the one the people stranded on the flight in France were going to take.

There are nearly 3000 illegal recruitment agencies operating without any license from the government. The major target of these agencies are people from rural areas. They are often forced to work in extreme conditions in countries like Israel, Canada, Laos etc.
