A video on social media was recently circulated where Indians were seen praying to the richest man in the world, Elon Musk like a Hindu deity for their H-1B visas. They were chanting slogans, “Elon Musk Jindabad” praising their lord.

While the official location is not known, the language on the posters makes it evident that it is from Karnataka. And with H-1B applicants conducting this procession, this video is likely emanating from the tech capital of India, Bengaluru.
While this is an uncertain time for all the applicants, this shocking act just highlights the level of superstitions embedded in Indian society. The educated IT folks, who are applying for these visas, are stooping to another low following these foolish practices.

What is more baffling is Elon Musk doesn’t even have an official say in the H1B permits. Apart from heading Donald Trump’s new made-up department, the Tesla founder has nothing to offer in the US government’s rulings.
