The Indian community loves to travel and the number of Indians visiting foreign countries is increasing every year. While South East Asia and Europe remains one of the top destinations for tourists, the number of Indians visiting the USA has also increased sharply making it one of the hottest destinations.
The number of Indians visiting the United States reached a record high in the year 2023. As per a data released, a total of 17,00,000 Indian tourists traveled to the United States in 2023. This is a 20% increase in the number of Indian tourists over 2019.
The trend suggests that by 2027, the number is expected to grow further. It can reach in excess of 2 million by that time. The growing number suggests an inclination towards the USA by Indians other than for reasons related to education and career.
The USA has remained one of the top destinations for Indians to study and work and each year hundreds of thousands of Indians visit the States for better opportunities. But the growth in tourist visas shows a new trend. There are 250,000 new appointments for tourist visas all across the country.
