U.S. media is currently broadcasting breaking news of a shooting incident at a Ramadan event in West Philadelphia. Reports indicate that multiple individuals were shot and injured.
According to initial reports, Philadelphia Police have made arrests and recovered at least four guns from the scene. The shooting occurred during an Eid al-Fitr celebration, which marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan for the Muslim community.
The reason or motive behind this shooting is still unknown. According to CNN “police do not believe it was an active shooter but rather an exchange of gunfire between two groups on the street.”
