In terms of fines, Ram was penalized $5,000 and also faces a ten-year driving ban. However, that wasn’t the end of the punishment, as he will also serve a prison term of 21 months and two weeks.

On May 24, 2020, Ram violated Covid-19 protocols to drink with friends. After offering a ride to Pravin in his lorry, a dispute arose in a car park. Intoxicated, they engaged in a physical altercation with traffic cones.

Later, Ram recklessly drove, causing Pravin to be dragged along the road, resulting in severe consequences.

After colliding with a construction barrier, Ram’s lorry swayed recklessly. Police, responding to calls, found an injured Pravin. Ram, with an alcohol level double the limit, was handcuffed for aggressive behavior.

Pravin suffered severe injuries, including an ear laceration, abrasions, and necessitated skin grafts.
