After Donald Trump won the Iowa caucus, it has been almost clear that he will be the face of the republican candidate in November elections. The wide gap between the other republicans has pushed them virtually out of the race. So now the question is who will Donald Trump be running with? The former President made it clear who will not be his pick for the post of Vice-President.
Donald Trump has ruled out Nikki Haley as the running mate for the 2024 election. Trump even went on to say at a rally that Nikki Haley “is not presidential timber”. The interesting thing is that Nikki herself has said before that she is not keen on playing Trump’s second-in-command.
The two have rather contrasting personalities and while one can argue that it can benefit to balance Trump’s extreme image, the moderate image of Nikki might itself be the deal breaker for Donald Trump who is advocating for a more conservative and fearless second term.
Donald Trump has also made attacks on Nikki Haley and said that she isn’t ‘tough enough’. Trump’s statements suggest that Haley would probably be the last person he would consider to run with.
