
The US visa mess in London just got bizarre. People with confirmed interview slots are waking up to find their appointments rescheduled, some even to Harare, Zimbabwe.
One applicant in the UK shared an email from the authorities, rescheduling their August 28 slot to September 2 without any prior notice. The social media post got bombarded with responses claiming they had received the same outrageous emails.

One applicant said their profile suddenly listed Harare as the location, even though they’re based in London. Others received typo-filled emails starting with “Dear Vsa aplicant,” making them wonder if it was a scam.
But this isn’t a phishing attack, it’s a real reschedule, from August to October, from September to January, and even March 2026 in some cases.

Worse, there’s no explanation, no refund, no alternate slots. Just an automated message and a helpless customer service line.
Some suspect this is all a system glitch while others think the embassy is just overloaded and shifting dates with zero regard for people’s plans. A few are even joking that it’s a “money move,” delaying people, making them cancel, and charging again.
