The fever of “Dunki” is taking over India, but the on-screen story differs from reality. Shifting from reel to reality, the situation isn’t as funny; crossing borders is a serious issue in contemporary times.
The number of Indians in the USA is growing rapidly, but it carries a saddening truth. Not all individuals reach there Illegally, as highlighted in the movie “Dunki.”
Indians are allegedly taking an illicit path to America by flying to Dubai and then Nicaragua.
If you’re curious about the entire cost of such plans, it’s around ₹60-70L, a staggering number.
Over the years, this “Dunki” route has been an escape route for Indians to reach the US, Canada, and the UK illegally. The recent incident of a Nicaragua flight highlights this fact even more.
The CID Crime Branch, acting on information from FRRO Mumbai immigration, interrogated 66 passengers suspected of illegal travel.
During the investigation, it was discovered that illegal travelers first went to Dubai, then traveled to Mexico to cross the American border. Officials identified 10-12 individuals in an illegal human trafficking network, charging ₹60-70 lakh to facilitate illegal journeys to the US. More than 60 people from Gujarat were involved.
