“Bade Miyan Chhote Miyan” is an important film, not because it’s going to change Indian cinema forever or be so good that people can’t stop talking about it. The movie is significant for two of the biggest stars of Hindi cinema, Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff, who unfortunately have had a shaky career graph in recent years.
While Akshay Kumar is struggling to change his image of lazy acting and not giving his 100 percent to his roles, as seen in movies like “Samrat Prithviraj” and “Ram Setu,” on the other hand, there is Tiger Shroff, our cute little action star, struggling to break away from the cycle of flops.
When it was announced that these two are coming together for a movie, fans began hoping for something exciting that might bring back their lost glory. But alas! It seems that they have disappointed us once again. The initial reviews of the film are out, and it is clear that the movie is definitely not good.
Whatever promises they made went in vain, and along with it, their plan of making it a franchise too seems scrambled. The movie failed on similar lines as “Ganpath,” with cringe dialogues, poor storytelling, bad cinematography, and too many jump cuts breaking the flow of action. Even Prithviraj Sukumaran’s acting couldn’t save the film.
Though it has managed to collect around 9 crores on its first day, the collections are likely to drop soon, and we can expect another flop in their filmography. Now that the chances of its franchise are almost finished, Akshay and Tiger must reinvent themselves to give us something substantial. Do let us know your thoughts.
