Biggest Show Hits Rock Bottom? YouTubers Take Over

Bigg Boss 19 is set to premiere on August 24. The new season of the Indian reality TV show will air on Colors TV and stream on JioHotstar.

Over the past few seasons, the show’s television appeal has dropped. Once a prime-time favourite, it now airs at a later slot. However, its performance on OTT remains steady, though even Salman Khan’s weekend episodes have lost some charm.

Many viewers believe this decline is linked to Salman Khan’s weak box office run. His association with a show known for controversies, politics, and vulgarity is said to harm his image further.

This season, fans have noticed a strong presence of YouTubers and influencers. Contestants like Krishna Shroff, Gaurav Taneja, Apoorva Makhija, Mr. Faisu, and Arshifa Khan are reportedly entering the Bigg Boss house.

Audiences feel the show’s quality has gone down, with fewer well-known celebrities joining. Some say stars avoid it due to negative publicity, while others argue that featuring influencers makes sense since OTT has become the show’s stronghold.
