Filmmaker Reema Kagti is set to return with the second season of her acclaimed crime thriller, Dahaad. Titled Dahaad 2, the show will once again feature Sonakshi Sinha in the role of Sub Inspector Anjali Bhaati.
The series is currently in the pre-production stage and is expected to begin filming in December 2025. The new season is scheduled to release in 2026 on Prime Video.
The first season of Dahaad marked Sonakshi Sinha’s OTT debut when it premiered in 2023. The show received widespread appreciation from both critics and audiences, especially for its gripping storyline and Vijay Varma’s performance as the antagonist. The season ended on a note that hinted at a much bigger story to come, setting the stage for Season 2.
Dahaad 2 promises to continue the adrenaline-filled suspense of its predecessor. Casting for a new powerful antagonist is still underway. Sources suggest the makers are keen on introducing a character who will match Sonakshi’s intensity on screen.
Reema Kagti, known for films like Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, is back with a fresh narrative that blends thrills with strong performances. Sonakshi has also expressed her excitement about reprising her role as Anjali Bhaati, raising audience expectations even higher.
With production starting later this year, fans of crime thrillers are eagerly waiting for Dahaad 2 to roar back on Amazon Prime Video in 2026.
