Bhumi Pednekar plays DCP Rita Ferreira, a hardened police officer investigating a serial killer in Mumbai. The teaser shows her navigating disturbing crime scenes while battling personal trauma.

Inspired by real-life events, the teaser opens with Bhumi entering a horrifying murder site. A man is shown brutally killed, with a shocking object stuffed into his mouth, setting the mood instantly.

As the teaser progresses, a series of murders unfolds in rapid succession. Bhumi’s character is haunted by disturbing visions, including a suicide and another dead body, pushing her to emotional extremes.

The teaser ends on a chilling note with Bhumi staring directly into the camera. Notably, there is no dialogue throughout, with the makers relying solely on visuals and sharp editing to create impact.

Fans have praised the unsettling atmosphere and believe Daldal could be one of the darkest Indian web series yet. Many feel the show has the potential to disturb viewers deeply.

Daldal is directed by Amrit Raj Gupta and co-written by Triveni, along with Rohan D’Souza, Priya Saggi, Sreekanth Agneeswaran, and Hussain Haidry.

Amrit Raj Gupta has earlier worked on Tribhuvan Mishra CA Topper, Operation MBBS, and Gullak. This project marks a sharp shift from his usual storytelling style.

In 2024, Bhumi Pednekar impressed audiences as a journalist in Bhakshak on Netflix. While that film explored dark themes, fans feel Daldal could take her performance to another level.

With Daldal set to release on Amazon Prime Video on January 30, anticipation is high. Viewers are now eagerly waiting for the full trailer.
