Viewers were stunned as the stream suddenly displayed the message: “This Live Event has Ended,” even though three laps of the high-stakes race were still left. Many took to social media to express their anger, tagging both platforms and demanding answers.
This incident follows hot on the heels of JioHotstar’s Wimbledon debacle, where users faced similar disruptions in the middle of the match. The pattern of glitches during international sports events is becoming too common on Indian OTT platforms.
Sports enthusiasts voiced their frustration online, accusing these platforms of being unreliable for live sports. Prime Video and FanCode were trolled heavily, with users pointing out that paid services should not collapse during crucial sporting moments.
