Hrithik Roshan’s aerial action adventure, “Fighter,” hits cinema screens today, and its hype is unreal. Tickets were being sold at prices exceeding 2000 in multiple cities. Public reactions are out, and it looks nothing short of a thrilling journey.
“Fighter” is a mid-air combat movie infused with nationalism, coursing through the veins of our heroes portrayed by Hrithik Roshan, Anil Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, and Karan Singh Grover. They are the top aviators of the Indian Air Force who do not hesitate to take down the enemy, addressing a deadly attack on Indian forces. Now, it’s on Hrithik and his mates to avenge them.
As people’s reactions suggest, the movie is a no-nonsense, slick action adventure with VFX done right. The combat scenes are believable and not over the top. The movie excels even in its emotional moments.
One of the biggest positives of the movie is its pre-interval block, leaving you on the edge of your seat. Barring a few abrupt additions like the dance number “Sher Khul Gaye,” the movie sails smoothly during most of its runtime.
Even the performances of the cast make you root for these characters, which feels great. Director Siddharth Anand has really raised the bar this time.
