Manoj Bajpayee political drama Governor: The Silent Saviour which was released on June 12, 2026 has received mixed response from movie lovers. Although Manoj Bajpayee’s performance was widely praised by critics it has failed near box-office.
Directed by Chinmay D. Mandlekar Governor: The Silent Saviour talks about a pivotal chapter in India’s economic history, when the nation was standing on the verge of bankruptcy in 1990.
Now After completing its theatrical run, Governor has finally made its digital debut on Prime Video, giving the film a fresh opportunity to reach a wider audience. However, Instead of arriving as part of the regular Prime Video subscription, Governor has been released as a rental. This means even Prime members will have to pay Rs. 349 to rent and watch it.
The big question now is whether the makers will later make Governor available to all Prime subscribers at no extra cost. Until then, viewers who don’t want to wait will have to rent or purchase the film on Prime Video.
