Actor Ram Kapoor has been officially dropped from all the promotional activities of his upcoming JioHotstar series “Mistry”, and Mona Singh is going to continue promoting it.
But what happened all of a sudden that the whole crew has decided to drop Ram Kapoor from promoting his own upcoming series?
As per the reports, the actor allegedly made several uncomfortable and inappropriate remarks during the interviews. In one particular instant the actor compared the workload of interviews with being “gang raped”.
The remark sparked immediate concern among the crew and media professionals present.
And it didn’t only end there he made several other comments regarding that. including one about a woman’s outfit being “distracting.”
In another instance, he allegedly joked about someone’s mother, suggesting she should have pretended to have a headache to avoid giving birth, as well as making several bad comments related to sexual positions.
Following formal complaints from crew members and journalists, an internal HR meeting was held.
From now on, Mona Singh will represent Mistry at all promotional events. The makers have also reiterated their zero-tolerance policy towards workplace misconduct.
