Every time we feel Jio Cinema is doing something good, they throw us with some unbearable crap that becomes difficult to digest. For a while now, they have been bombarding us with numerous duds, and this new show called “Jab Mila Tu” is just another installment in Jio Cinema’s dumps.
The new teaser of “Jab Mila Tu” is another lazy addition featuring Instagram influencers showcasing fashionable clothes and delivering poor acting. The trailer fails to ignite any excitement among viewers; it’s just a random slideshow without any story, featuring a bunch of couples dealing with childish issues.
Even the cast offers little hope. We see Prateek Sejpal, previously known as an annoying guy in Bigg Boss. Then there’s Mohsin Khan from the TV serial “Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.” The two girls, Eisha Singh and Alisha Chopra, seem to give strong competition to Suhana Khan and Khushi Kapoor in the acting department.
Jio cinema is one of the fastest growing ott platform and we can’t accept such cringy shows here. They seriously need to uplift their standard in order to complete with the OTT gaints like Netflix and Prime Video as they never compromise in quality.
This upcoming show can most appropriately be called “TV Actor’s Archies.” There was a time a few months back when Jio Cinema was premiering only cheap, boring shows. Then they picked up the pace with some good shows recently. If this streak continues, the days are not far when this platform will become a dumpyard of shows.
