Kapil Sharma Blasts Hate Monger Over Remark on SRK

Kapil Sharma reacts to Chak De India remark

Kapil Sharma has responded to online criticism linked to a moment from the latest episode of his show on Netflix. The episode featured players from the Indian women’s cricket team along with their coach, Amol Muzumdar.

During the show, Kapil jokingly told Amol that people often compare him to Kabir Khan, played by Shah Rukh Khan in Chak De! India. Amol responded by saying he does not feel similar to the character.

Cricketer Jemimah Rodrigues added humour to the moment by saying Amol had changed his name to Kabir Muzumdar. The exchange was clearly presented as a light-hearted joke.

However, a social media user criticised Kapil on X, stating that Mir Ranjan Negi was the real coach of the Indian women’s field hockey team. The user called him the “real hero” and asked Amol to clarify that Kabir Khan was not linked to him.

Kapil reshared the clip and responded firmly. He stated that he never mentioned Kabir Khan by name and that the entire sequence was meant purely for humour.

Over the years, Shah Rukh Khan’s film has often been believed to be inspired by Mir Ranjan Negi. However, Negi has denied this claim in the past, even though he trained the cast for hockey scenes in the film.

Many online users criticised the individual who shared the clip. They pointed out that Mir Ranjan Negi himself had dismissed such claims earlier and shared old news articles supporting this.

Some netizens alleged that the video was shared to deliberately target Shah Rukh Khan. A few also suggested that his religious background was being used to fuel unnecessary controversy.

This incident adds to the list of controversies surrounding the show in recent times. It remains unclear whether the issue will settle soon or continue to draw further debate.
