Hotstar released the trailer for its upcoming series, Karmma Calling, starring Raveena Tandon in the lead role.
It is the culmination of all the cringe and cliches associated with soap operas that were telecasted in the 2000s. The only difference is the technologies shown because the tale has mostly stayed the same in the last two decades.
Raveena is playing the role of Indrani Kothari, the matriarch of the Kothari family and the queen of 90s Bollywood. It is portrayed as a story of revenge mixed with romance, adultery, drama and betrayal.
What disappoints the most is Raveena’s dialogue. They hardly match with her acting and her attempt at making it natural makes it worse.
It stars Namrata Sheth, Varun Sood, Vikramjeet Virk, Virat Patel, Rohit Roy and many more. It will premiere on 26th January.
