“The Railway Men” is an upcoming Yash Raj Films production that diverges from their usual style of creating universes with films like “Tiger” and “Pathan” or slapstick comedies such as “Jayesh Bhai Jordaar.” This time, they are following a more serious path by telling the story of one of India’s most unfortunate accidents – the Bhopal tragedy.
“The Railway Men” is based on the events of 1984 when a chemical called methyl isocyanate leaked into the atmosphere, resulting in the loss of thousands of innocent lives and a significant industrial setback.
The series delves into the experiences of four individuals who were present at the scene of the accident and explores how they contributed to saving lives. It’s going to be a character-driven story with R. Madhavan, Kay Kay Menon, Divyendu Sharma, and Babil Khan in lead roles.
Directed by Shiv Rawail, “The Railway Men” is part of a multi-year partnership between YRF and Netflix, and it will premiere on 18th November exclusively on Netflix India.
