Snyder’s Rebel Moon Is Just ‘Meh’

Rebel Moon

What was supposed to grant him a seat in the roundtable of heaven might turn out to be the artwork that banishes him to hell. Snyder’s Rebel Moon isn’t right; a small Ecliptic one, as from the very beginning, it was hit with mediocrity.

As the previews flooded the internet, they were surprisingly underwhelming. Critics basically crucified it, but fans had high expectations. That is also going in vain, as fans’ reactions don’t look positive either.

As of writing this article, Rebel Moon has a 6.4 rating on IMDb and a 23% rating on Rotten Tomatoes by critics. The fans, on their part, say 73%, but keep in mind that Snyder possesses a strong fanbase, which will definitely cause an inflation in the ratings.

Some audience reactions showcase the exact problem.

Firstly, it carries similar allegations of ‘too much slo-mo,’ same as the Snyder Cut. Besides that, the audience now needs more than action, especially from an OTT film. Particularly when it comes to a Snyder film, it needs some character development, which seemed missing.

Some viewers are also calling it a ripoff of Star Wars, but you can’t really throw away the allegation, as comparisons like these have to be drawn with films of this caliber. But again, that comparison itself makes the film very less in merit.

Obviously, questioning its visuals is baseless as they are up to the mark and sometimes exceed it. But the acting and writing part of the film not only decimates it but slaps it really hard.
