Zack Snyder, the director of Watchmen and Justice League, has made a new Netflix movie in the sci-fi genre. It’s called Rebel Moon. The movie, the first of two parts, is about Kora. She is a secret rebel who fights against the bad Motherworld. It is a big empire that wants to take over her lovely colony. On the journey, she gets a group of fighters from different worlds to join her team. They all want freedom and payback.
But, even though Rebel Moon has a big plan and looks great, it got mostly bad reviews from people who review movies and the public. The movie has been bad for its dull story, uninteresting people, copied parts and too long a time length.
Many people have said, not nicely, that the film is not as good as Star Wars. Snyder’s original idea to make the movie came from his love of Star Wars. Some even say the movie is more about making Snyder look good. Netflix lets him do whatever he wants.
Rebel Moon has not been able to bring in many viewers. It’s because other Netflix shows like Don’t Look Up, The Witcher, and The Matrix Resurrections have gotten more attention. The movie company says that only 18 million homes watched it in its first week. That’s not many people for a big movie like this. The movie did not do well, so everyone is questioning if there will be a second part or not. Netflix and Snyder haven’t talked about it officially.
