Prime Video has unveiled the trailer of its upcoming Hindi Original series The Revolutionaries, a period drama that explores the lesser known stories of young freedom fighters who chose the path of armed resistance during India’s struggle against British rule. Directed and created by Nikkhil Advani, the series is set to premiere on Prime Video on September 11, 2026.
The Revolutionaries brings attention to a group of young rebels who operated in secrecy and challenged the British Empire through courage, sacrifice and determination. The trailer introduces viewers to four revolutionary figures: Rash Behari Bose, Sachindra Nath Sanyal, Bagha Jatin and Pratibha Lahiri.
Bhuvan Bam portrays Rash Behari Bose, Rohit Saraf plays Sachindra Nath Sanyal, Gurfateh Pirzada takes on the role of Bagha Jatin, and Pratibha Ranta portrays Pratibha Lahiri. The story follows these young revolutionaries as they come together with a shared mission to challenge British rule.
The trailer highlights the emotional and physical cost of their fight, showing that the road to freedom demanded immense sacrifice. Featuring intense action sequences, including gun battles, chase sequences and confrontations with British forces, The Revolutionaries focuses on the personal journeys of these individuals, exploring their friendships, fears and the choices that shaped their lives.
Jason Shah plays General Dyer, a key antagonist who leads the pursuit against the revolutionaries as their activities become a growing threat to British authority. The series also features Paoli Dam and Tota Roy Chowdhury in important roles.
Produced by Monisha Advani and Madhu Bhojwani under Emmay Entertainment, The Revolutionaries has been written by Sanyuktha Chawla Shaikh, Akshita Wadhwana, Shobhit Narang and Rutvi Mehta.
The series will be available in Hindi along with dubbed versions in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Bengali. With its focus on forgotten chapters of India’s freedom movement and a strong ensemble cast, The Revolutionaries aims to bring a new perspective on the sacrifices made during the country’s journey towards independence.
