The last couple of weeks had been rather hot and cold for the Indian OTT audience with not too many interesting options coming up. Let us have a look at the kind of titles coming up this week and see if the next few days are going to be any better.
Balan – The Boy
There is no OTT recommendation list without a Malayalam film, and we are following the same route again as we have a new film Balan from Malayalam Cinema. “A teenage boy searches for his missing mother following a turbulent childhood and her subsequent disappearance, exploring his search for closure and the truth about his past.” The plot reads. This film will stream on ZEE5 from July 31.
Chinna Chinna Aasai
Another Malayalam film on the list, and it has legendary actor Indrans in the lead role. On the enchanting shores of Varanasi, two souls meet by chance. Somewhere within this unfolding chaos, an unspoken bond begins to form, slowly slipping beyond friendship. This film will stream on JioHotstar from July 28.
The Devil Wears Prada 2
This is an extension of iconic film, The Devil Wears Prada. Andy Sachs returns to Runway as Miranda Priestly navigates a new media landscape and Runway’s position within. The duo reconnect with former assistant Emily Charlton, now the head of a luxury brand that possesses funding which could ensure Runway’s survival. It will stream on JioHotstar from July 29.
Sadly, the Sir about all the options that we have coming up this week. But we have something interesting, coming up early next week in the form of Ted Lasso S4 on Apple TV. This happens to be one of the most successful sporting dramas in recent years and is one of the hallmark shows for Apple TV and it will stream from August 4.
