Within A Week, Reacher Is Already The Biggest Blockbuster

Reacher

Lee Child’s Reacher is a gold mine for Amazon Prime Video. The second season of the hit action-thriller premiered last week with its first three episodes, and with the response it got, Reacher has become the no.1 title of the year on the OTT platform.

The first three episodes have already hit the ball out of the park with their 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes. This is the biggest premiere for Prime Video since Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power. Season 1 had created records for the streamer as well. Reacher S1 was the first Prime Video show to become the most streamed show during its premiere week in February 2022.

Season 2 is based on the ‘Bad Luck and Trouble’, a 2007 Lee Child novel. Alan Ritchson has reprised his role of the righteous, hobo, ex-military cop. This time, he is united with the special investigations unit he used to lead.

Five more episodes are to come out every week. The finale is set for 19 January.
