Sikandar Promotions

Just a month to go for Eid 2025 and Salman Khan’s Sikandar is in a crisis and it’s self-inflicted.

On February 18, the makers promised a surprise on February 27. Many were expecting a trailer or the first song.

But as the date approaches, shocking reports suggest that the official trailer is still not ready, and the makers are going to release another teaser. The first teaser received flop reactions as it was dull and boring.

For a film of this scale this is unprecedented, and the fans are frustrated and wondering how Sajid Nadiadwala is handling his “biggest film in a decade.”

Since Sikandar was announced there has been no structured promotion. The teaser was expected to generate buzz, but it was a dud. The posters failed to interest. And now with just four weeks to go for the release the makers have gone silent.

If a film of this size doesn’t have a well-planned marketing strategy what does that say about the production house behind it?

The problems are not just with marketing. Reports suggest that Sikandar is still being shot, and a last-minute post credit song is being filmed in Mumbai. Initially there were plans to shoot in Rajkot but that was cancelled.

All of this points to a film that is being rushed to completion rather than being crafted carefully.

With such a tight timeline the postproduction work including editing, VFX and background score can be compromised. It’s similar to Radhe another Salman film that suffered from poor execution.

Comparing Sikandar with other big films releasing around the same time the difference is huge. Bade Miyan Chote Miyan has already released multiple songs and a well-received teaser.

Meanwhile Sikandar has not released a single teaser or trailer. The makers are being so casual it either means they don’t have confidence in the product, or they are just being negligent.

Since Sikandar is a mass entertainer this silence is nothing short of ridiculous. At this point Sikandar is just a missed opportunity.

Salman Khan’s star power can guarantee an opening but without strong marketing and solid content the film will fade away.
