Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana is all set to release in the upcoming year. However, new information related to the film, which features Ranbir Kapoor as Ram and Sai Pallavi as Sita, has now grabbed a lot of attention on social media.
Notably, the role of Sita was supposed to be portrayed by Srinidhi Shetty, known for K.G.F. Chapter 2. The actress disclosed the same in a recent interview, saying that she gave a screen test and even prepared for three scenes at the same time.

Srinidhi mentioned that her test turned out to be good, and she was excited after hearing that Yash was supposed to be an important part of Ramayana. Srinidhi said that since she and Yash have appeared as a couple in K.G.F., people would have loved to see them in opposite roles, standing against each other.
Although she was not cast for the role, Srinidhi added that Sai Pallavi suits the role, and she is waiting to witness the actress appearing as Sita. While Srinidhi’s casting in Ramayana would have helped her make her Bollywood debut, it seems like she has to wait for some more time.

On the other hand, Ramayana is creating more hype every day with new updates coming in about the film. The film’s visuals or any other thing from the set have not been leaked over the last few months, which means that audiences can prepare themselves for a new experience in theatres.
While a release date of 2026 and 2027 has been finalized for both parts, only time will tell if there will be any more delays. Moreover, it remains to be seen if Ramayana would make a big impact at the box office when it will be released.
