Renowned filmmakers Vivek Agnihotri and Anurag Kashyap are going at it with their fiery remarks on each other and it is going viral on the internet.
It all started when Vivek Agnihotri revisited past tensions related to the 2007 sports drama Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal, alleging that Anurag Kashyap’s reported struggles with alcoholism and lack of dependability posed challenges during the film’s development.
In a recent interview, controversy resurfaced as Vivek Agnihotri recalled that Anurag Kashyap had eventually delegated the writing responsibilities to Vikramaditya Motwane.
“Anurag was a heavy drinker back then, and he couldn’t be trusted with time,” said Vivek Agnihotri. He further added, “He brought Vikram Motwane on board, who is a very talented guy”.
The Kashmir Files director stated that his version of the film didn’t match with the version Anurag Kashyap and Vikram Motwane bought in.
Anurag Kashyap responded to the allegations via Instagram Stories, dismissing Vivek Agnihotri’s claims and labeling him a “big-time liar.”
He stated that the shooting of the film was in London and during that time, he was in India and was not a part of the film in any way.
While there is no confirmation yet as to who is telling the truth, Vivek Agnihotri openly pointed out Anurag Kashyap’s ill behavior which angered the veteran filmmaker.
Only time will tell how things further escalate between these two veteran filmmakers ahead.
