Trade veteran Taran Adarsh told Bollywood Hungama that the year has already started on a positive note with Ikkis, released on January 1. He also expressed confidence in films like King, Battle of Galwan, Ramayana, Love & War, and Alpha.

Taran and several other trade analysts described Dhurandhar 2 as an event film. This is largely because its first part emerged as the biggest hit of 2025 and continues to perform strongly in theatres.

He also showed faith in Riteish Deshmukh’s Raja Shivaji and hoped Awarapan 2 would deliver better results. The original film was considered underrated despite its strong emotional impact.

Film analyst and distributor Raj Bansal believes 2026 could surpass 2023 for Hindi cinema. He pointed out that several large and promising films are lined up for release throughout the year.

Raj Bansal also shared high expectations for Ramayana. He stated that crossing Rs. 1000 crores net in India is possible, adding that the film aligns perfectly with the current national mood.

Atul Mohan noted that Ranbir Kapoor’s momentum after Animal and Vicky Kaushal’s after Chhaava could significantly boost Love & War. He feels this combination may drive strong collections and popularity.

Other potential performers like Drishyam 3, Naagzilla, Alpha, and Mardani 3 are also expected to do well. Trade experts say success will depend on how strongly the stories resonate with audiences.

Atul Mohan also expressed optimism about Alpha, starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari. He suggested the film could surprise viewers and evolve into an Indian version of Charlie’s Angels despite earlier delays.

Analyst Girish Johar is reportedly extremely bullish on Ramayana as a Diwali release. He also believes Dhurandhar 2 could open big even with minimal publicity due to the first film’s success.

Overall, leading voices from Bollywood trade circles feel 2026 could mark a major box office revival. The year promises large scale spectacles and diverse entertainment for Hindi cinema audiences.
