The makers of Dhurandhar: The Revenge have revised their promotional strategy. The trailer will now launch digitally on March 3 instead of a grand public event. Earlier reports had suggested an unveiling at Mumbai’s Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre on March 5.
Sources confirm that the promo will release online on the occasion of Holi. There will be no large scale gathering this time. The team appears to be focusing entirely on digital reach and social media engagement.
The first film’s trailer was unveiled at the same venue before nearly 2,000 fans of Ranveer Singh. It became one of the most high profile promotional events of 2025. The original film later gained strong momentum after its opening week.
The movie eventually emerged as the highest grossing Hindi film of the year. Naturally, expectations from the sequel are quite high. Trade analysts believe the franchise already enjoys strong recall value among audiences.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, the sequel once again stars Ranveer Singh. The cast also includes Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan and Arjun Rampal. The film is scheduled for theatrical release on March 19.
Dhurandhar: The Revenge will clash at the box office with Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups. The Geetu Mohandas directorial is headlined by Yash. With two big films arriving together, the mid March window looks highly competitive.
Skipping a grand launch event may reflect confidence in the franchise’s popularity. However, the real challenge lies in sustaining the success of the first instalment. Box office performance after release will determine the sequel’s long term impact.
