Divya Kumar and Diljit Dosanjh news

Aryan Khan’s Bastard of Bollywood continues to stay in headlines as new controversies surface, both on and off the screen. The latest storm comes from singer Divya Kumar, who revealed that he was replaced by Diljit Dosanjh in the show’s popular track Tainu Ki Pata.

In a recent interview, Divya shared that Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment had first approached him to record Tainu Ki Pata for the series. The song was even completed in his voice before creative changes led the team to finalise Diljit Dosanjh’s version.

After being replaced, Divya said that the production house offered him “an insane amount of money” as compensation. However, he turned it down, saying that his emotional connection to the opportunity meant more to him than money.

He recalled being in tears at the Red Chillies office when he decided to decline the offer out of sheer respect for Shah Rukh Khan. Divya revealed that SRK had always been a source of inspiration for him and that as a struggling artist, he would often stand outside Mannat whenever he faced setbacks in life.

The final version of Tainu Ki Pata, sung by Diljit Dosanjh, was featured in Bastard of Bollywood, while Divya kumar’s recorded version remains unreleased. His refusal to accept compensation has earned admiration from fans who praised his integrity and humility.

For Divya, the missed opportunity was an emotional one, rooted in his long-held respect for SRK rather than any professional disappointment. His gesture has now become a talking point within the industry and among fans.

Divya Kumar is a noted Indian playback singer who has sung for Hindi, Gujarati, Telugu, and other regional films. His popular songs include Sun Saathiya from ABCD 2, Manohari from Bahubali, and Kamariya from Stree, among many others.
