In a nationally praised move by the government, various OTT platforms that were serving as soft porn sites have been shut down. It included names like Ullu, Desiflix, ALTT amongst over 20 other platforms.
With this many netizens are celebrating it as a good move while others are sad at the curbing of their freedom of expression. But the question remains, if freedom of expressing yourself spreads vulgarity amongst the masses should it be allowed?
Youth and even children were getting deluded into using such apps. At the same time women and young girls were willingly or unwillingly giving into objectification and obscenity just for the sake of views.
ALTT was one big name amongst such channels and for a fact it was owned by Ekta Kapoor and her mother Shobha Kapoor. But as soon as the news of their banning came out Ekta clarified that she or ALT Balaji has nothing to do with this platform.
Fans questioned her claims and asked, as long as she was making money it was hers but when it came under controversy she disowned it. Many trolled her by saying she serves B-grade content on TV as well as OTT.
Most people are elated that this platform has been shut down.
