Bollywood had a serious lack of love stories for a while. The few that were released weren’t memorable at all. Be it Loveyapa or Nadaaniyan, both were heavily trolled, with many calling them a disgrace to love stories, let alone films.
In the upcoming months, fans are excited, as it seems like Bollywood’s romance genre is making a big comeback.

Bollywood, which once delivered heartfelt rom-coms, had lost its way. But fret not, the beloved genre is clearly staging a return.
Production companies across the board are dipping their feet back into this fading genre. Maddock Films is producing Param Sundari with Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor, though many fear the film may end up stereotyping Malayalis.

T-Series is producing Metro In Dino, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hone Hai starring Varun Dhawan is in the works, along with the Kartik Aaryan and Sreeleela project, which is stil under debate of possibly being called Aashiqui 3.
Let’s not forget Dharam’s Tu Meri Mein Tera, Mein Teri Tu Mera, Chand Mera Dil starring Ananya Panday and Lakshya, Imtiaz Ali’s O Sathi Re starring Aditi Rao Hydari and Avinash Tiwary, and YRF’s launch of two new faces with Saiyaara 2.

Sure, Bollywood’s downfall has been tough and looks bleak for the industry. But all is not doom and gloom.
These upcoming romance films will hopefully not only fill up the screens with love, but also our lives, giving us something to look forward to from Bollywood once again.
