Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana has arrived in theatres this week after a long wait. The content, budget, and a lot of things kept the film in the headlines months before it was released on the big screen.
The characters, story, and VFX have been the main topics of discussion on social media since November 5, 2026. A lot of things have been criticized and praised. But a few others are being compared with Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayana at the same time. The latest in the list is Indrajeet.
Since Ramayana has a long list of actors playing important roles, many people possibly missed out on Raghav Juyal among the cast, who portrays Indrajeet. However, the character will appear in the second part of Nitesh Tiwari’s film, which is releasing in 2028.
The character’s possible screen presence and overall appearance are being compared with Vijay Arora, who played the same role in the iconic TV show.
A majority of the viewers on social media questioned whether Raghav will be able to justify the role, playing it better than Vijay. Some even called the comparison unnecessary, saying that a lot of things have changed with time and a few differences won’t create a big issue.
A particular section said that Raghav won’t fit the role and that he is better when it comes to playing normal villains on screen. A few even claimed that it is wrong to call him extremely talented, as they referred to his underwhelming performance in The Paradise, which featured Nani.
Raghav’s role as Indrajeet is going to be an important part of the second film’s storyline. While a lot were against him playing the role, many others supported him, saying that it is too early to decide, specifically by comparing it with a popular TV show.
But at the same time, concerns remain about Part 2’s performance at the box office if Raghav’s acting and screen presence get trolled on social media.
The wait for Part 2 is going to be a little long. However, online users said that while Sunny Deol’s appearance as Hanuman has already created excitement, the debate that has now emerged about Raghav’s appearance is expected to contribute to pulling the masses when the film is released on the big screen.
