After posting a lengthy Facebook post on how he was troubled by the financial losses he had suffered and how his wife and in-law’s family harassed, Marathi Film Producer Atul B Tapkir committed suicide in a hotel room.

This Facebook post is taken as the suicidal note of the producer and the police are investigating it as a case of accidental death. The producer made serious allegations on his wife for throwing him out of the house, also hurling abuses at him and threatening to get him beaten up by her brothers.
The turmoil in his personal life started when he suffered losses because of his recent Marathi film. According to his Facebook message, his father and sisters supported him and hence he wants his child to grow up in their custody. It’s clear that his state of depression made him quit this world.
