The Trial 2 trailer is finally out, and Kajol is back on JioHotstar. The new season will premiere on 19 September as part of Hotstar Specials. Many are surprised since the first season failed to impress.
The first season was directed by Suparn Varma, but this time Umesh Bist takes charge. Kajol continues in the lead role, with the core cast returning to reprise their characters.
The series is adapted from an American legal drama. It explores the intense mix of courtroom battles and the personal struggles of its protagonist. The new trailer hints at even more drama, fitting the tagline Pyaar Kaanoon Dhokha.
Despite setbacks in the past, Kajol’s powerful performance has kept fans hooked. The trailer shows her raising the bar further, making the second season look promising. Courtroom dramas seem to be gaining momentum this year.
Interestingly, 19 September will also see Akshay Kumar’s Jolly LLB 3 releasing in theatres. Kajol’s The Trial 2 will arrive on OTT the same day. Kajol, however, insists there is no clash, and she has wished Akshay success.
It now remains to be seen which project wins the audience’s verdict. Fans will have their eyes on both screens, be it cinema halls or streaming platforms.
