Kesari 2 Jallianwala Bagh Poem Stolen

Stealing and copy pasting is not a new problem of Bollywood. Ideas, music, plot and dialogues are shamelessly stolen from various places by the makers without giving due credit to the original creator.

But with Kesari 2, this trend has reached an all time low. The dialogue writer of Kesari 2 has shamelessly stolen a poetry by renowned poet Yahya Bootwala and not even bothered to give him credit.

Yahya took to his social media to report this theft by saying that he had published the poem 5 years ago and now Ananya Panday can be seen reciting it in the movie. He juxtaposed his old video with Ananya’s clip from Kesari 2.

Indeed the wordings and theme seem similar to fans. The fans are outraged that his poem entitled Jallianwala Bagh has been clearly copy pasted.

Yahya wrote for the dialogue writer of the film Sumit Saxena that, “as writers, the worst thing you can do to a fellow writer is pick their material up, blatantly use it without giving credits”. This act is being condemned by the fans who are demanding that it’s not too late and the makers should give due credit to Yahya.
