Kesari Chapter 2: The Untold Story of Jallianwala Bagh unfolds the historical courtroom drama that followed the terrible massacre at Jallianwala Bagh. It is backed by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and has stars like Akshay Kumar, R Madhavan and Ananya Panday in lead roles.
The teaser and trailer were received well, the film is being promoted by the team and Akshay and Karan even claimed that it is their best film so far. Yet the buzz around the film is very low, it is going to release on 18 April and film pundits speculated an opening of only 5 crore rupees.
Baahubali actor Rana Daggubati, has shared on his social media that the film is very important for Indian viewers, and he would ensure that it receives ample opportunity to be viewed by Telugu audiences.
He said, “Just watched an incredible historical courtroom drama — Kesari Chapter 2: The Untold Story of Jallianwala Bagh. A powerful, important film that stands tall and stays deep with the Indian in you. This is storytelling that deserves to be seen across languages. We at Suresh Productions will do everything we can to bring this cinematic gem to Telugu audiences in the best way in cinemas.”
If the film has such a powerful impact, will it give Akshay a much-needed comeback? Netizens seem divided as there is no certainty that the positive responses turn into mass booking by the audiences.
