After four successful films, the Housefull franchise is gearing up for another installment starring Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Nana Patekar, and many more, set to release on 6 June, 2025.
With a startling 25 actors and an alleged 2 hours 34 minutes runtime, the filmmakers are promising a “non-stop entertainer.” But so far the only buzz the movie has created is due to lawsuits and controversies.

After the film’s teaser was taken down from YouTube following a copyright strike earlier this month, the film’s promotional activity has almost stopped, raising eyebrows just weeks ahead of release.
Now, as per the Pinvkilla report, the film’s producers have submitted not one, but two different versions of Housefull 5 to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC)—both of which have received U/A certificates.

This certification signifies that the film is suitable for general public viewing, but children under 12 would require parental guidance for potential mature content.
While the producers haven’t officially commented about the real reason behind this move, industry insiders are speculating it might just be a PR stunt meant to stir curiosity before the film’s trailer launch on May 27.

Others are excited as the insider added: the story-telling pattern is something not seen before in the world, and the makers promise a killer comedy, with lots of confusion caused by 24 actors in the star cast.
With no major marketing or promotions in sight for so long, this sudden announcement has many wondering: Are we genuinely in for something new, or are these just gimmicks to generate last-minute buzz?
In an industry where films rely heavily on promotions and social media engagement, the silence around Housefull 5 is a high-risk move. But hey, if the filmmakers are confident, who’s to tell?
One thing’s for sure—on June 6, the audience will find out if the movie really lives up to its franchise or ends up with more confusion than comedy.
