The Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Ramayana is shaping to be nothing short of a spectacle. And now, the biggest rumor is seemingly confirmed by the composer of the film AR Rahman.
A clip from a candid YouTube interview is going viral where Rahman is asked if he’s working on Ramayana with Hans Zimmer, Hollywood’s iconic composer. His cheeky reply of “Secret, secret,” followed by an agreeable smile has convinced the fans that this is as close as the official confirmation one could get.
Bollywood stars are always quick to deny false reports, so Rahman’s one-word response only adds fuel to the fire. While he faced some criticism recently for the Chhava soundtrack, there is no denying Rahman has given the industry some iconic tunes over the years.
On the other hand, Zimmer is no mug either. With world-renowned compositions in The Dark Knight, Interstellar, Dune, and more, he’s now all set to make his Bollywood debut in Nitesh Tiwari’s mythological saga.
The two Oscar-winning composers joining forces has added to the buzz for Ramayana, which drops on Diwali 2026, with the second part following in 2027.
However, this hype can be detrimental to the film too as it gets tougher to meet these sky-high expectations. The stakes are high and the pressure is now on Ranbir, Sai Pallavi, Rahman, Zimmer, and Tiwari to give justice to this Indian epic.
