Meanwhile, Ranbir is now in the headlines after a video went viral. The clip was shared on social media, and it was taken at the airport, where RK was accompanied by his better half, Alia Bhatt. The pair was spotted in casual outfits while they appeared together.
However, one particular portion of the video received a lot of attention, where Ranbir and Alia did not respond when they were greeted with Jai Shree Ram, and they walked away.
Netizens immediately started reacting to the video. A majority criticized Ranbir, with most of them recalling the reports of him undergoing a change in his lifestyle to play Shri Ram. They said that Ranbir should go back and continue his old habits if this is how he wants to be.
A few even said that Ranbir was the wrong choice to play Shri Ram, with a particular section even calling for a boycott of the upcoming mythological epic. Some called Ranbir an arrogant person, saying that he is not fit to portray Shri Ram.
On the other hand, Ranbir’s fans and a neutral audience came out in his support, saying that the situation was being misunderstood. One user stated that Ranbir never signed a contract to say Ram Nam at the airport.
Some even compared the negative responses to actors playing other characters, saying that based on that, every actor has to imitate the activities that they would do on screen while playing a role. A few others alleged that the video was posted intentionally to target Ranbir and create some negativity about him and the film.
