When “Saiyaara” was first announced, no one thought it would be a ground breaking breakthrough. Even when the trailer was launched people thought it would be a movie like “Malang”, the audience and the critics all were very skeptical about it.
Ahaan Panday, a new face and as well as a star kid headlining a major YRF film?
The thought of another nepo kid getting a full course meal all set for him was the constant source of debate.
But Day 1 numbers showed what a raw talent can do. When people thought it would be hard for the movie to generate 5cr, it collected 20cr on day 1 setting a new benchmark for debut films in 2025.
Mohit Suri’s direction, a soundtrack that resonates with the youth and a youthful vibe that Gen Z has accepted with open arms.
The theatres are buzzing with people who want to have a big experience of the movie, and halls are going Housefull.
But the biggest takeaway from this?
Nepotism is not a wrong thing, it’s the talent that matters, all the kids who come from film backgrounds are not trash. Ahaan Panday proved it, and as well as he showed that when talent goes on a good hand a magic can happen.
The audiences don’t lie, the numbers don’t lie and most of all, people who were trashing the movie before on social media are now celebrating the movie, so that proves the success of “Saiyaara”.
So yes, “Saiyaara” is ! debutante movie of a NEPO kid. And yet, it’s proved that what truly matters is the connection between the storyline and the audience.
With that being said we can definitely say that Bollywood isn’t dead, it just needed a spark and “Saiyaara” has given it that.
