Salman Khan’s much-awaited film, Battle of Galwan, is finally going on floors this month, but with some changes in the schedule. The planned Mumbai schedule has been postponed due to creative reasons. Instead, shooting will now begin in Ladakh starting August 22.
An insider revealed that the makers decided to start with the action sequences first. Since Salman needs a specific look for these scenes, the schedule was adjusted accordingly. Meanwhile, the Mumbai set is being taken down for now. The team will decide on the Mumbai shoot only when the film reaches its final stages.
The film is expected to release sometime in 2026. Salman will reportedly play Colonel Bikkumalla Santosh Babu. The story revolves around the military clash between India and China that happened around five years ago. Apoorva Lakhia is directing the movie.
The news of the film finally beginning its shoot is great for Salman’s fans. However, some are concerned about Salman choosing this subject, as similar topics have been explored in other films like Farhan Akhtar’s 120 Bahadur.
At the same time, fans trust director Apoorva Lakhia. Though his past films did not do well at the box office, his content always received praise. Since this is Apoorva’s first time working with a superstar like Salman, many are eager to see his take on the actor’s role.
The first poster of Battle of Galwan has been well-received. Fans are hopeful that the film will live up to the expectations set by the poster and turn out to be even better.
