Salman Khan’s Maatrubhumi is back in the headlines. While the ongoing situation has hinted that the movie might not release this year, an insider has now shared a new update.
The source claimed that the makers are attempting to bring the movie to the theatres by this year. However, there is a high chance that the movie will now shift to 2027. A specific date has not been confirmed, and the makers have yet to speak up officially about the reports.
The source said that the problems linked to the film have not been resolved, and even if it happens, it is going to be tough to get a good release date since other films have already reserved their slots in advance. The insider said that Salman is always fair and does not want to clash with another film.
Another insider claimed that as of now, Dussehra, which falls on October 20, 2026, is the perfect period to bring the film since the collections can be much better due to the extended weekend of five days.
While nothing has been announced officially, it seems like Salman will have two releases in 2027. This happened previously in 2023, when Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan and Tiger 3 were released in the same year. Notably, Salman also made a cameo appearance in Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan.
Salman’s next with Vamshi Paidipally has already locked its release date on Eid 2027. As of now, the buzz for Vamshi’s film has been bigger compared to Maatrubhumi, whose hype has completely ended due to the lack of updates from the makers.
Some online reports stated that Maatrubhumi’s delay is reportedly because the entire movie will be shot again. But the claim has not been confirmed yet.
