After Pathaan and Jawan, Shah Rukh Khan is back with King, an action thriller. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the film has big action, multi villain and a new cinematic experience.
With slick visuals and action sequences planned across Europe, King has all the ingredients of a big film. But is everything perfect? Well, almost—except for two things.

SRK plays a powerful don who mentors Suhana Khan’s character and then faces a deadly adversary played by Abhishek Bachchan. Munjya actor Abhay Verma is also in the mix while the makers are still searching for a new female lead.
Action sequences are going to be bigger than Pathaan with cutting edge VFX and high speed chases. The excitement is high but two factors could be the weak links.

Suhana Khan’s debut in The Archies didn’t go as planned she was heavily trolled for her performance. While she has a long way to go, King gives her a second chance.
With Siddharth Anand’s guidance she might improve but will the audience accept her in an action film? That remains to be seen.

Abhishek Bachchan is a powerhouse performer (Guru, Yuva, Breathe), his recent work in I Want to Talk was exceptional. But despite his talent he lacks a strong box office pull.
Unlike other villains in Bollywood action films he doesn’t have mass appeal naturally. His impact in King will depend entirely on how Siddharth Anand presents him.
The film will start shooting in January 2025 and release in 2026. While SRK’s star power is undisputed, Suhana’s performance and Abhishek’s audience pull will be the key factors.
If Siddharth Anand gets them right King will be another blockbuster. If not these two factors will hold it back. Will King rule the box office like Jawan and Pathaan? Only time will tell!
