Certain low-budget films with no star face have surprised the box office over the last few years. The latest movie to add its name to the list is Hanuman Ansh. The film has turned out to be a surprise hit with good collections.
The ongoing week has witnessed the run of some big films, including Toxic. Apart from that, Awarapan 2 has continued to surprise in terms of its numbers. Furthermore, Spider-Man: No Way Home is also running successfully along with The Odyssey in some places.
Amid all this, Hanuman Ansh arrived without any promotions. As per the latest update, it has recorded a growth of 2150% in the third week. The biggest record for now is that the numbers have been accumulated easily despite some competition from Toxic.
A report has also claimed that the numbers are much better than Awarapan 2, specifically on August 26, when Toxic released, and on August 27. Although the numbers of other movies have been impacted a little due to Toxic, Hanuman Ansh has not witnessed the same situation. The third week collections now stand at Rs. 11.70 crores.
The movie started at a very low number of only Rs. 89 lakhs in the first week. It increased to Rs. 46 lakhs in the second week, followed by Rs. 10.35 crores in the third week. The figures are good, considering that the movie has been reportedly made on a budget of only Rs. 1 crore.
For the unversed, the movie is based on Neem Karoli Baba and directed by Vishal Chaturvedi. The lead role has been portrayed by Shobhinav Satya.
Netizens expressed their happiness about the success, saying that big filmmakers should learn a lesson and spend more on stories instead of visuals. Online users wrote that Hanuman Ansh is an example of how content-driven films can be made without a big budget.
