Time seems to have turned in Akshay Kumar’s favour, especially after the release of his historical drama ‘Kesari 2’.
While his earlier films easily managed to cross a gross collection of $3-4 Million in North America, the actor was recently going through a phase of drought after Sooryavanshi, with his films constantly getting washed out in North America, failing to hit even the $1M mark.
But luck seems to have graced Akshay as Kesari 2 has finally managed to make a gross collection of $1 Million, securing Akshay’s place at the 2nd position with 27 films, just shy of SRK’S magical number of 32.
While Akshay’s acting has definitely played a big part in this, one can’t ignore the Karan Johar factor, especially due to him being a brand as a director in the United States.
With Akshay now firmly seated on the success train, it will be interesting to see if he can maintain the same momentum in his upcoming projects as well.
