While it is shining brightly, a huge controversy is sparking which might put the makers on a 100 crore lawsuit for showing wrong information.

The descendants of Maratha warriors have accused the makers of portraying Ganoji and Kanhoji Shirke in negative roles.
The Shirke family claimed that the makers had wrongly showcased them as traitors hence damaging their legacy.

They threatened the makers to remove such scenes or they would be filing a 100 crore defamation suit.
Chhaava maker Laxman Utekar clarified that these characters have been mentioned without using their surnames and are purely coincidental.

“Our intention was not to hurt the sentiments of the Shirke family. I sincerely apologize if Chhaava caused any discomfort” said Laxman Utekar.
Despite his statement, the Shirke family is not looking to stop and warned the makers to start state-wide protests if they do not change the scenes.
As Chhaava continues to roar at the cinemas, it is getting widespread attention. It remains to be seen what will the makers do ahead after all these controversies.
